Virginia is a registered dietitian and integrative and functional nutritionist as well as founding owner of Nutrition for Wellness™. Informed by years of clinical, observational, and personal experience, she offers programs that feature protocols guided by evidence-based research and her deep level of commitment toward improving the well-being of her clients. Virginia is also a certified Mindfulness Instructor and Life Coach.
Ms. Darrow-Menegaz has been actively involved in the health and wellness industry for over thirty years and has presented seminars and lectures for organizations such as The Baltimore Sun, The U.S. Military, American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), Blue Cross Blue Shield, and US Airways.
Virginia has advanced training in integrative and functional nutrition as medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine, Functional Medicine University, Women’s Integrative & Functional Medicine Professional Training Program, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, The American Association of Nutritional Consultants, Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, Medicines from the Earth and specialty training in Nutrition and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health from the Korn Institute. Virginia continues to broaden her professional specialization through ongoing seminars and symposiums across a wide breadth of healing modalities.
Ms. Darrow-Menegaz also served as a course developer and adjunct professor of Integrative and Functional Nutrition at Maryland University of Integrative Health and in Nutrition and Food Studies at New York University.
Additionally, Virginia is also founded Nutrition Software Solutions, Inc. ™, which developed an innovative nutrition assessment software program for healthcare professionals.
Virginia continues to celebrate her passion for all things active such as yoga, meditation, martial arts, water sports and functional fitness. She lives in Maryland with her greatest treasures (along with her health), her husband and their two daughters.
